A female Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam suicide bomber detonated near the office of Sri Lankan Social Welfare Minister Douglas Devananda, who also is a former militant, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Nov. 28. Devananda was unharmed, but his personal secretary was killed and two others were wounded, officials said.
Though this is the latest in a series of rebel attacks, it is only the second bombing in the capital this year, following countless attacks in 2006.
